? Authorities say an Irvington woman drove straight into oncoming traffic on the Tappan Zee Bridge Sunday for two miles.
Police say 76-year-old Anne Buerly entered the clearly marked exit ramp off Route 9 at 9 a.m. Buerly went through the tolls the wrong way and then traveled northbound in the southbound lanes of the bridge.
Police were able to guide Buerly off the road on the Rockland side of the bridge. No one was hurt in the incident.
Troopers say drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the incident, but Buerly was issued several tickets and will be ordered to take a safety driving course.
