A World War II veteran from Rockland County is celebrating his 100th birthday!
Sidney Sachs, affectionately known as Sax, officially marked his milestone back in April. However, yesterday saw another joyous celebration as dozens of his loved ones gathered at Montebello Commons Apartments.
News 12 was thereto capture all the action, including an interview in which Sachs was asked what it feels like to live to 100. "It feels no different than when I was 90," he quipped, adding, "... you see the good with the bad."
The event also boasted several special guests, including stateSen. Bill Weber, who made the journey from Albany to present Sachs with a proclamation in honor of his centennial milestone.
