About 100 Bakers Pride workers walked off the job Monday in New Rochelle and took to the picket lines with signs in hand.
The employees say they want better wages and a fair contract from the pizza oven maker. "A decent contract, mainly the wages," says employee Dennis Dennehy. "The wages are unfair. Fifty-five cents, that's nothing," he says of the company's proposed 55-cent raise.
Bakers Pride declined to comment about the strike.
