Workers at a Nyack market say they showed up last week for work only to find it had been abruptly shut down, leaving dozens of vendors without a paycheck.
On Sunday, about a dozen people took to the streets in protest outside the Playhouse Market on South Broadway in South Nyack for the second time this week.
The former employees and investors claim the owners scammed them out of of tens of thousands of dollars
The owners, Harvey Weissman and Isaac Hershko, of Long Island, are being accused of harassment, fraud by their now-former employees, who say they are owed wages.
Former employees tells News 12 that they have an audio recording of the owners harassing them and admitting fraud. They say they plan to make the recordings available after talking to their lawyers on Monday.
