Crews are back at a Yonkers construction site that has had its share of problems since work began.
The project at 1077 Warburton Ave. has been plagued with problems. Most recently, a landslide on Feb. 3 forced the evacuation of an adjacent home. City officials say the landslide caused part of the home?s yard to collapse. The foundation of the home is also cracked.
No one was hurt, however, the occupants cannot go back inside yet. Residents are concerned about their safety and also about the integrity of the neighborhood. Many believe the project represents the overdevelopment of an area that was filled with trees and fresh air.
DPW crews and police were on the site to monitor the work.
