There is new information involving a radiology technician who was convicted of molesting a patient at a hospital.

Officials say 31-year-old La'Starr Gardner, of Mount Vernon, filed a lawsuit on Jan. 5 against a former employee at White Plains Hospital and the hospital itself.

Gardner claims in July of 2015, she went to the hospital with a severe back injury.

The lawsuit says the X-ray technician groped her and forced her to touch him.

She says the abuse happened while she was sedated. 

“Four months following the incident, the worker was arrested and found guilty of sexual abuse.

A hospital spokesperson says he no longer works there and there's a zero-tolerance policy for any kind of abuse.”
