A West Harrison woman accused of driving on the Metro-North train tracks is facing multiple charges.

MTA police say 44-year-old Sonia Alvarez-Nunez was caught Monday night driving on the Harlem line tracks.

The investigation revealed that she drove about 2 miles on the tracks from North White Plains to Valhalla before her car became disabled.

"I hope she's OK, but now she's in big trouble," said driver Cathy Marchionni.

Police say she failed field sobriety tests at the scene. No injuries were reported and no other passengers were in the car.

The arrest was made near where a Metro-North train and SUV collided in 2015. That incident killed six people and injured more than a dozen others.
