A Bronx woman is facing charges Friday in a fatal hit-and-run accident that took place on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers.
According to police, Lisa Shipp was drunk when she hit a SUV driven by Legista Beckford, of Ossining, around 6 p.m. Thursday. Beckford?s vehicle careened off the parkway and he died of his injuries. Police say Shipp left the scene, but an eyewitness followed her car while on the phone with police.
Shipp is charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
