The incident was reported to authorities by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on March 20, prompting a thorough search of the medical center's buildings and grounds. Fortunately, no explosives or responsible individuals were found, and there were no injuries or disruptions to hospital services.

Following an investigation, Donna Inga, a 64-year-old resident of New Hampton, was arrested one week later in connection with the threat. She has been charged with falsely reporting an incident and was released on an appearance ticket.

Inga is scheduled to appear in the Town of Wallkill Court on April 17 for further proceedings.
