The Westchester County Airport in Harrison had some cancellations and delays due to Tuesday’s wintry weather conditions.

Crews were hard at work de-icing planes ahead of takeoff to make sure passengers were safe on their flights.

News 12 did see some planes taking off, but they were few and far between. There were also planes that seemed to come out of nowhere when they landed due to the low visibility.

News 12 spoke to a family from Connecticut flying in from Orlando who said their fight was delayed, and while the trip wasn’t easy, they were happy to make it home safely.

Those who are traveling or plan to pick someone up at the airport should check online for updates.
