The weather will continue to be drab and dreary tonight. Low clouds and wind keep temperatures in the mid-30s. Areas of dense fog could develop, especially in some of our protected valleys.
Saturday isn't spectacular coming from a meteorological standpoint. The fog will be slow to burn off, and even when it does, the clouds will continue to cling to the region. As a result, afternoon highs, while warmer than Friday will be near or slightly above normal.
Sunday morning showers and possible grumbles of thunder will be passing through.
The temperatures will be warming from Saturday into Saturday night and Sunday morning. The extra warmth will provide a little more fuel for these storms. The presence of thunder will be infrequent, but the chance isn't zero either. Daily highs for Sunday will reach into the low 60s, maybe warmed a degree or two more with some late day sun as the storms pass.
Speaking of this weekend, we "Spring Forward" with Daylight Saving Time starting Sunday morning. At 2 a.m. Sunday, the clocks will jump forward an hour. We get an extra hour of daylight but loose an hour of sleep.
Early next week we will be greeted with a taste of spring. Mainly sunny skies and warmer temperatures. A combination we have not seen and felt in months.
