The potential is growing for a large coastal storm to impact our area on Tuesday. The storm will start off with a mix of rain and snow. Accumulation is expected in the upper Hudson Valley and minor accumulation is possible in the lower Hudson Valley. The best chance for wintry mix will be Tuesday morning and early afternoon. A transition to rain is expected in the lower Hudson Valley. Winter driving conditions are expected in parts of the Hudson Valley for the late morning commute and could potentially linger for the evening commute. This storm is a few days away, so we do not have specifics on timing or snow accumulation yet.

The upcoming week is much colder than average. Colder than average temperatures are likely through at least the first half of December, and the storm track will be active which gives us a chance for winter weather in the upcoming weeks.
