A Williamsburg bar is closing its doors for good next month after serving the community for two decades.
Spuyten Duyvil is a bar that specializes in serving craft beer from all around the world. The owner says they opened back in 2003 as a specialty bar but that now customers can get those special beers at any local spot.
The staff says they plan on continuing to provide service with a smile serving up IPAs, sours and lagers until the bar closes for good.
“If anyone has been coming here for the last 20 years, we would love to see you, there’s no question and really, we’re just closing because craft beer is everywhere now,” said owner Joe Carroll.
Real beer enthusiasts are encouraged to come out for their Zwanza Day event on April 20.
