The wicked weather put a damper on people getting back to school and work after the holidays.
A combination of freezing rain, snow and wind caused several schools to close and made travel treacherous throughout Westchester Tuesday. The Saw Mill Parkway has been shut down sporadically near Marble Avenue in Thornwood due to flooding.
Officials from the highway department say crews are doing their best to make the roadways safe for drivers.
