The White Plains School Board president will be starting the school year in court Wednesday as she and her husband are facing child endangerment charges concerning their own daughter.
The allegations stem from an incident at the home of Michelle Trataros and her husband, William. According to police, when Trataros saw a packed bag in her 15-year-old daughter?s room last week, she was afraid she was running away. William Trataros told police he hit his daughter in the face. Police say Michelle Trataros said her daughter needed a good beating.
The teenager took off to a friend?s house, where the friend?s family called police. Trataros was appointed president of the White Plains School Board in July and served on the board since 2000.
