White Plains went all out Wednesday for the grand opening celebration of Westchester?s first ultra-luxury five-star hotel, the Ritz-Carlton.
After a year and half of construction, the Ritz-Carlton Westchester is finally opening for business. The $600 million hotel is the newest addition to the White Plains skyline and brings hundreds of new jobs to the area.
Ritz-Carlton CEO Simon Cooper says the Westchester hotel is one of the company?s smaller ones, but it?s all about the location.
The hotel?s rooms are loaded with high-end technology. An indoor rooftop pool, full-service spa and exclusive soaking tubs imported from Japan round out the health amenities envisioned by the developer. Developer Louis Capelli says it?s the finer finishes that separate the five-star hotels from the four-star ones.
The hotel officially opens Thursday and is already filled to capacity with guests.
