White Plains restaurant looks to pivot business to work within Friday's new guidelines

In less than 24 hours, new restrictions will take effect for gyms, restaurants and bars.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered these establishments to close at 10 p.m. starting Friday to help curb the surge of positive COVID-19 cases.
At Alex Lounge in White Plains, it has been an uphill battle over the past year with coronavirus restrictions and shutdowns.
The assistant manager tells News 12 that the summer brought a slight uptick in customers, but the bar now has a different outlook as the weather gets colder and restrictions get tighter.
And as the weekend approaches, they're looking to pivot their business to work within the curfew. That means relying on takeout past 10 p.m. now that indoor options are scrapped after that starting Friday.
