White Plains police announced Thursday the arrest of a teenager in connection to a stabbing of a 17-year-old male earlier this month.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Mobil Gas station on Mamaroneck and Rosedale avenues after a house party.

Police say the 17-year-old male victim had been stabbed in the chest with a sharp object.

He was taken to an area hospital and has since been released.

The 17-year-old suspect was charged with first-degree assault.

The suspect's name is not being released due to his age.
