White Plains police have released body camera footage from an undercover sting involving the sale of alcohol to underage buyers.
Officers were checking in on local convenience stores to see if any clerks would sell alcohol to a minor. Authorities used a member of the Young Explorers program, who's under age 21, to purchase liquor. The stings were done in April.
The result was zero sales to the uncover buyer.
Police say compliance hasn't always been at 100 percent but that the harsh penalties usually keep business owners wary.
Any business owner caught selling alcohol to minors could face a fine of up to $100 and possibly lose their liquor license.
