A Hudson Valley hospital has been recognized for its excellence.
White Plains Hospital beat out 2,000 other hospitals nationwide to win the "Outstanding Patient Experience" award from Healthgrades.
The award was presented to the hospital Wednesday morning at a special ceremony.
The award is based on excellence in several categories, including cleanliness, patient recommendations and staff professionalism.
