The United States Department of State issued a warning, specifically for Americans traveling abroad. This comes after President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel and the worldwide protests responding to the conflict.

The state department specifically advised international travelers to stay alert in locations frequented by tourists. They also encouraged them to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program to receive information and alerts.

Despite the warning, travelers say they are not concerned about any increased threats due to the conflict.

“I feel really bad with what is going on. I wish I could do more. But I don't feel unsafe traveling or anything,” John Lytle said.

One woman told News 12, "I thought we felt really safe the whole time traveling, especially in airports, I felt the safest. And as soon as we got there, I felt really safe. I don't think there were any issues, and I would do it all over again."

Another traveler said, “I feel good, not unsafe. I mean it’s every time it’s dangerous in the world."

U.S. airlines have also temporarily suspended travel to Israel and Lebanon.
