Westchester’s cyclists concerned over bike path holes
Cyclists in Westchester County are calling on officials to fill in holes on popular bike paths.
Along the South County Trail in Elmsford, there are signs that say “Caution uneven surface ahead” but the cyclists say it's not enough.
Dennis Westlake, an avid cycler, says holes and bumps along the path ruined his new set of wheels. He says that even an experienced rider can get hurt hitting a bump in the path.
News 12 reached out to staff at the Westchester County Parks Department who said they are still in the process of redesigning the North County Trailway for a complete resurfacing.
