With temperatures expected to drop below freezing over the next few days, one Westchester shelter is ready to help those who need a warm place to stay.
Lifting Up Westchester Men's Shelter in White Plains takes in anyone who needs the help during a code blue.
The shelter director says at times like this the staff works extra hard.
"I mean, I do know that we have to be more vigilant and prepared for the increase of people that could potentially occur," says Charles Stott, director of Lifting Up Westchester Shelter. "I'm not really nervous about it. I'm kind of energized knowing that we're going to be doing the kind of work that we're here to do to serve the community."
