Westchester receives face shield donations from Con Ed; Latimer says COVID-19 cases remain flat

Notes from County Executive George Latimer's briefing:
Latimer is with representatives from Con Edison, who will be donating 40,000 face shields to medical workers.
The shields were manufactured in a converted Con Edison machine shop in the Bronx.
There were 1,129 hospitalizations on Wednesday. It remained basically unchanged (1,1190 on Thursday. Latimer says the numbers continue to stay flat.
Latimer says he doesn't yet have the number of deaths from Thursday. He says residents can refer to the state's COVID-19 tracker.
County Executive Latimer announces new walk-up testing sites. The first state-run walk-up sites are at St. John's Riverside Hospital ParkCare Pavilion in Yonkers and at the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center on 4th Street.
