The Westchester County Police Department is cracking down on underage drinking this prom season. 

County patrol officers and Taxi and Limousine Commission staff have been confiscating alcohol and other prohibited items. 

The department says its goal is to ensure the well-being of students attending prom and encouraging a sober and safe event. 

The department says more prom and safety checkpoint can be expected in June.
