A Westchester author will be releasing her latest book next week.

Jacqueline Friedland's "Breathing Under Water" explores youth homelessness and autism.

The book was inspired after Friedland came across the statistic that 8% of American college students experience homelessness sometime during their time in school.

Friedland says her book features a college student-athlete who gets framed for something she didn't do and is at risk of losing everything.

The book comes out Aug. 4.
