A Westchester man was sentenced to the maximum time in prison Tuesday for killing a Pelham woman more than 25 years ago.
Kenneth West, who was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, was convicted in March of raping and then strangling Josephine O'Keefe in her Pelham apartment in 1983. Police used DNA evidence to link West to the murder.
The jury handed down a split verdict in March. They also found West not guilty of killing June Roberts, of Yonkers, in 1986.
