Two men were convicted of mail fraud and conspiracy for a scheme to steal over $4 million from a company in White Plains.
Joseph Maharaj, of Goldens Bridge in Lewisboro and Shawn Rains, of France, were both high-ranking executives at OrthoNet.
While working for the health care claims processing company, prosecutors say both men designed and executed a scheme to defraud the company and launder the proceeds.
They created fake vendors, then signed away money with invoices for that fake work.
Both men face a maximum of 20 years behind bar when sentenced.
