Westchester Institute for Human Development gives COVID-19 shot to people with severe disabilities

A local organization is helping people with severe disabilities get a COVID-19 shot.
The Westchester Institute for Human Development is starting to vaccinate hundreds of the people they serve - those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
They just received 200 doses of the Moderna vaccine, and plan to administer every dose this week.
News 12 was told that until Wednesday, the people WIHD serves has had to go to mass vaccination sites that aren't conducive to their needs.
WIHD hopes to get more and more vaccine each week so it can continue to help this vulnerable population.
