An anti-war group in Westchester held a peaceful protest Monday in White Plains urging a quick end to the war in Iraq.
Members of ?No War Westchester? came out in the rain New Year?s night to get their message heard. The group is urging Congress to make a New Year?s resolution to cut off funding for the war and bring the troops home. The group?s protest comes just as the death toll for U.S. soldiers tops the 3,000 mark.
Group members say they have been out protesting since before the war started. They add they protest every Saturday night hoping their voices are heard. The group is planning to take a trip to Washington, D.C. in January to continue its efforts with lawmakers.
