People across Westchester are finally cooling down Friday after three days of sweltering heat gripped the county.
People started venturing outside after the heat wave broke and temperatures cooled down. Parks were filled with people, who for most of the week stayed inside in an air-conditioned house. Seniors had it especially rough during the heat wave. Now they are enjoying a respite from the oppressive heat.
The lights are no longer dimmed at Yonkers City Hall. An executive order to conserve energy has been lifted. Many are happy to see the scorching temperatures go away so they can enjoy the summer.
