With the extended weekend, Westchester County is urging residents to plan ahead with a sober, designated driver.

Westchester County police on Wednesday said they will have extra patrols out on the roads through Sunday, as well as additional marine unit patrols on the Hudson River and the Long Island Sound.

Police say they will also be increasing park ranger presence throughout the county's park system.

The surrounding counties will also be increasing patrols.
