Golf courses in Westchester County kicked off the beginning of this year's golf season Wednesday.

County-owned golf courses now open for the season are Dunwoodie and Sprain Lake in Yonkers, Mohansic in Yorktown Heights, Maple Moor in White Plains, Saxon Woods in Scarsdale, and Hudson Hills in Ossining.

Golfers News 12 spoke with were excited to be out on the greens for the start of the season.

Golf buddies Beverly Michel and Pat Ellis described hitting the links at Dunwoodie as "heaven" after the harsh winter months.
