Westchester County Executive George Latimer joined News 12 to provide an update on the response to flooding across the county.
Latimer has declared a state of emergency for Westchester County in response to a significant and potentially life-threatening weather event.
Dangerous levels of rainfall are currently impacting the area and expected to persist, raising concerns about flash flooding and hazardous conditions throughout Westchester.
“I am taking this step to ensure the security, well-being, and health of our citizens during this challenging time," said Latimer. "The severe storm has created hazardous conditions, and we are committed to providing all necessary assistance to address the threats to public health and safety.”
