New York reached another milestone Monday as millions more people are now eligible to get the coronavirus vaccine.
In just two days, the Westchester County Center will transform from a state-run test site into the regional hub for COVID-19 vaccinations.
It's available for eligible people by appointment only.
The website to make appointments at the County Center is already booked up until the second week of March.
The issue with vaccinations in the county is that many people say they have been calling places that are supposed to give out the vaccines — and they're being told there aren't any available yet.
County Executive George Latimer says they've been receiving calls about this as well.
He says his team has been taking notes on distribution locations listed on the state's website, but they say it's not clear how many doses have been given out to each of the locations or how soon this will happen — since much of the authority is up to the state.
Those who are eligible can call the state's COVID vaccination hotline to schedule appointments at 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829).
