Westchester County Airport will receive more than $15 million in federal funding for improvements.

Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer made the announcement today.

The money will go toward runway construction, expansion and building a new taxiway.

It’s part of a $66 million federal initiative to upgrade airports across New York state.
