The morning commute in Westchester County came to a crawl Thursday as drivers were diverted off many local roads due to flooding.
One of the worst hit areas from Wednesday?s rain was the Saw Mill River Parkway near Farragut Avenue in Hastings. Side roads were clogged as drivers inched along the diverted routes. The rains also swamped parts of the Bronx River Parkway and the Hutchinson Parkway.
After almost 24 hours, the flood waters finally receded. The Saw Mill River Parkway was the last to dry out and reopen around 11 a.m.
