Westchester County Executive George Latimer provided a coronavirus update Monday.
As of Sunday night, Latimer says 32,513 people have been tested, and 8,519 has tested positive, or around 26%. A total of 221 people are hospitalized for a percentage of about 2.7% of the positive cases. He says there has been 19 deaths so far in the county.
Latimer says there is currently 3,017 hospital beds in Westchester, and models show they could need around 4,600 beds.
Yonkers has 508 cases; New Rochelle has 346 cases, and Greenburgh has 272 cases. Those three cities are the three hardest hit areas so far.
