More money is going to help with flooded basements and washed-out roads in Westchester.
The County Board of Legislators just approved $1.9 million for flood-control projects.
The funding will support new drainage pipes and catch basins in New Rochelle, Croton-on-Hudson, and Bronxville.
Officials say the work will protect homes and roads from storm damage, reduce insurance costs, and help communities deal with extreme weather.
