Thunderbolt 12: Tracking road conditions across Hudson Valley

but I do wanna toss right now to our own Ben Nandi, he is in Orange County and Thunderbolt 12 and Ben, it's just been a wet night and how are the roads looking out there Safe for the most part it's been wet. This is the view from the top Thunderbolt, we're going west on 84 between Newburgh and Middletown and it's been all clear despite some steady rain the last couple hours we are safe, we haven't run into any major issues were soaking wet but we are totally safe and the roads for the most part are safe, especially the major ones. We've been on the lookout for flooding in all our usual spots where we know that a little vulnerable to flooding and we haven't seen much but I want you to look at this video, we shot this just a few minutes ago, it was at nine W. In 84 it's the area of nine W. That goes beneath 84 there's some flooding creeping into the southbound lanes of nine W. And it's important to note this is happening without any major hard downpour yet. So if your reign does hit that area, it could be enough to shut it down. It's happened before in the past when rain closed down that stretch of road there would be a lot of confusion and traffic cars trying to get onto the interstate from nine W and vice versa. It's a major interchange there and it can get very confusing. It's the first instance of flooding that we've really seen throughout the evening, if we get any updates on it, we will let you know. And as for um, the only problem we had with any traffic was a tractor trailer fire near the Mabruk exit on 80 for it pretty much shut down I 84 east, we just passed that area. It is back open. They were diverting traffic for much of the evening. It's unclear if that was weather related. We'll have updates for you throughout the evening. Ben 80 News 12.
