Just when the Hudson Valley was getting used to some spring-like weather, Mother Nature reminded residents that it is still winter.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for most of the region through Wednesday morning.
Meteorologists say that the snow will continue into Tuesday evening. They say the wintry mix will eventually end as drizzle or freezing drizzle after 7 p.m.
Temperatures will be near 36 degrees, so treated roadways should be fine for travel through the evening rush hour.
The total snow expected is a coating to 2 inches, with possibly one-tenth of ice on top of that. Any accumulations will be melted and washed away as rain, heavy at times, will come down for most of Wednesday with temperatures in the 50s.
