WEATHER TO WATCH: Gusty thunderstorms could bring damaging wind, hail Friday

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says there will be spotty showers today ahead of a line of gusty storms tomorrow.

It’ll be a mostly quiet night in the Hudson Valley, but that doesn’t look to be the case for Friday.
Expect spotty showers much of the day before storms Friday evening, with the main line of storms around 5-10 p.m., moving from northwest to southeast. It’ll be hitting the Westchester area around 7 or 8 p.m.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a stray shower. Lows around 67 degrees. 
FRIDAY - WEATHER TO WATCH: Mostly cloudy with some breaks of sun. A few spotty showers or an isolated downpour through much of the day. A lot of the day is fine. However, there will be a line of gusty thunderstorms moving through after 5 p.m. and through 10 p.m. from northwest to southeast, reaching Westchester County closer to around 7 p.m. In addition to heavy rain, these storms may have isolated damaging wind gusts and hail. Highs around 78 degrees and more humid. Lows near 65 degrees. 
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs near the mid-80s. Lows in the mid- to low-60s. 
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs near the mid-80s. Lows in the upper-60s. 
MONDAY: Sun and clouds - a few showers and a thunderstorm possible. Highs near low-80s. Lows in the upper-60s.  
TUESDAY: Sun and clouds. A spotty shower or two in the morning is possible. Highs around the mid-80s. Lows around 67 degrees. 
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs near the mid-80s. Lows around mid to upper-60s. 
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid-80s. Lows in the upper-60s.
