A Hudson Valley wealth management organization is stepping in to support furloughed TSA workers at Westchester County Airport.

Almost a month after the government shutdown, thousands of federal employees continue to work without pay.

Around 60 TSA agents at Westchester County Airport have been affected.

Reinas and Brown Wealth Management donated a hearty lunch to all of the TSA workers on shift Tuesday.

“We're here to support the TSA,” says Joshua Brown, of Reinas and Brown Wealth Management. “They're on furlough, not getting paid and we think anything we can do to help them out to save money on lunch and dinner.  Hopefully they'll get back to work soon and getting paid soon.

Many TSA workers say that they have received gifts every day from good-hearted people since the shutdown started, from bags of snacks to fully catered meals.

Some say that while the appreciation helps fuel their motivation to return to work, they'll continue to report to work no matter what happens on Capitol Hill.

“We swore our allegiance to our country and, it's ‘We the People’ and that's who we serve,” said one TSA worker.
