Pro-life protesters prayed while holding signs outside a White Plains clinic Monday on the 34th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade ruling.
Demonstrators took their anti-abortion fight to the front door of a women's heath clinic that performs the procedure. Protesters argue everyone has a right to life. Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators expressed the same sentiment in Washington, D.C. during the annual March for Life. President George W. Bush phoned in his support for the crowd. Pro-life activists hope to get another Supreme Court justice who shares their point of view in order to reverse the decision.
Meanwhile, the Westchester Coalition for Legal Abortion (WCLA), one of the nation's oldest pro-choice groups, held its ground in the face of nearby demonstrations. The WCLA is sticking by its motto of choice matters.
