The utility company Veolia has completed repairs following a water main break in Port Chester, but the village says more work is needed.
The village says the break happened early Wednesday morning on New Broad Street.
While village crews tried to divert the water, it still poured out and village officials were worried it could turn to ice.
The village says Veolia has done a temporary street repair to resurface the excavation, but the damaged roads can't be repaired until there are consistently warmer temperatures for milling and paving.
The village says it's already talked to Veolia to make sure the work is done as soon as possible.
