Westchester Executive Latimer says runway at County Airport will reopen Thursday following paving project
Westchester County Executive George Latimer provided a coronavirus update at the Westchester County Airport.
The airport's runway 16/34 will reopen Thursday after a repaving project. The work had originally been scheduled for October, but was finished sooner than planned.
Latimer said Westchester now tracked 32,517 total cases in the county. There are currently 2,091 active cases.
More than 128,000 COVID-19 tests were taken in Westchester. This represents 12.8% of the county's population.
He said it's still important to wear masks and social distance.
Latimer reminded the county that this week is EMS Week.
