A Washingtonville teen featured on News 12 in December when she was in dire need of a liver transplant now has a match.

Loved ones told News 12 that 14-year-old Natalie Caudy is scheduled for surgery this week.

News 12 reported that the teen and her family have been searching for a living donor for months. The girl’s condition was considered critical due to a rare disease that attacks her autoimmune system.

A GoFundMe for Caudy says the teen has a long road to recovery ahead, and that the family is grateful to the community for the outpouring of love and support.
