Wanted fugitive in Westchester taken into custody after alleged crash, protection order violation in Lagrange

Just before 5:30 p.m., deputy sheriffs responded to the area of Noxon Road and Budd Land for a reported car accident and order of protection violation.

A wanted fugitive was taken into custody in the Town of Lagrange Saturday, police say.
Just before 5:30 p.m., deputy sheriffs responded to the area of Noxon Road and Budd Land for a reported car accident and order of protection violation.
Prior to arriving, police say the driver fled into a wooded area.
The driver was then determined to be a wanted fugitive from Westchester County.
The caller had an active order of protection against the suspect, police say.
Deputies requested assistance from the K9 unit, drones and detective bureau.
They were then able to take the fugitive into custody.
