A hen that was seen wandering around the Orangeburg Shopping Center on Wednesday has found a forever home after it was rescued by a good Samaritan. 

Jamie Surya was able to safely secure the hen and find her a home. 

The hen will be able to live out the rest of her life at the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. 

Surya will transport the hen to the sanctuary Friday afternoon.

We have a really steady rain all day today. You don't need me to tell you, but it's gross out there. But how long does it last? That's where I come in tonight. Some scattered showers. It's not as widespread for the later half of the afternoon. The clouds will still be around until Monday morning. But hey, the good news is that the work week looks good. We're dry. We have a few clouds but we're getting colder as we move past Monday. So get ready to need the winter jacket. Here's what the rest of this morning shapes up. Like, see, you know, as we move closer to noon time, the showers do at times get a little bit on the heavier side. This is noon. You see, holding steady temperatures, mid forties, just like they were when you woke up by noon time, just like you woke up near 50 in Yonkers, you're near 50 at noon. So no change with the temperature. If anything, you might actually drop in temperature a little bit. This afternoon, we catch a break after two o'clock. It's still light showers. It's still really gloomy. It's still really cloudy, but at least the rain isn't as widespread for the later half of the afternoon. It's not great though, at any point today, you should at least have the rain jacket. I don't know if you necessarily need to go with the umbrella all day, but Monday problem fare, check this out. You're about 40 degrees for the Upper Hudson Valley. Low to mid forties for the morning commute for the lower Hudson Valley and we are dry and we actually have sunshine early Monday, but then the clouds roll in Monday afternoon and we're gonna do that again on Tuesday and on Wednesday it looks like morning sunshine, afternoon clouds. Now, the difference is, it is much colder as we move into the middle of the week. Monday feels like 51. Tuesday feels like 41 and Wednesday feels like 36. Welcome back. Winter. Here we are. It looks pretty chilly too for the first night of Hanukkah. But we warm up again next weekend. So snow lovers just be patient because it's not looking like the odds are good quite yet.
