A billy goat was spotted wandering alone on Indiana Avenue in Yorktown Wednesday, officials say.
It took animal control officers almost two hours to lure the animal off a private property using apples and leaves.
Authorities believe the goat has an owner since it appears to be tame and well cared for.
According to animal control officers, there will not be any penalties if the owner of the goat comes forward. If the owner does not turn up, the goat will find a new home on a local resident's farm.
